Bartlett, president of the National Council of the American or Know-Nothing Party about the need to form a new party infrastructure in Connecticut to support the National presidential candidate, Millard Fillmore. Also includes a document outlining party ritual and instructions, and two drafts of a constitution for the state party. The party was also known as the Constitutional National Union.
